Meet Rasmus Festersen, Our new Investment Manager in Robotics, drones, and tech.

At the beginning of April, Rasmus Festersen joined Invest in Odense. His focus will be on robotics, drones, and tech and on attracting international companies to the city of Odense.

Rasmus has 10+ years of leadership experience and for the last 3 years, he has been CCO and COO in one of the fast-growing tech companies in the city of Odense, HR-ON. Rasmus’ educational background includes a BA in business from Roskilde University and an ongoing MBA from SDU. Rasmus also has more than 300 games under his belt in the top leagues of Danish football.

Rasmus is looking forward to applying all his knowledge, passion, and effort into the vision of Odense as the best robotics city in the World.

“It is an area where Odense is already in the global super league – and the potential is huge. So is the support from the city and the robotics community. I am grateful for the warm welcome from all our partners, and I am honored to have the possibility to make a positive impact on the city I live in.”

Rasmus has a clear idea of how he can benefit the city of Odense and his ambition is high.  

“My passion is to build strong relations and high-performing organizations. I am excited to develop both the city of Odense and the companies established in Odense, and to help them succeed. I have a strong vision of bringing my competencies and commercial mindset from several years in tech into the way the city of Odense brands itself and letting as many international companies as possible know what the city has to offer. I want to let the World know that Odense is the city to establish yourself in if you are into robotics, drones, or tech.”

Humbleness and curiosity are also very important to Rasmus. He is full of admiration for the many talented and skillful people that have played a huge part in creating one of the strongest robotics communities in the World and looking forward to getting to know both local and international partners even better.

“I am also enthusiastically looking forward to gaining knowledge, inspiration, and insights about leadership, internationalization, and strategy from successful C-level leaders and colleagues and putting that knowledge into play. I am driven by a curiosity about how to shape successful strategies and high-performing teams, and there is a lot to learn from many people in the field of robotics, tech, and drones. I am looking very much forward to that.”
