Victor DENMARK OPEN IS INVADED BY ROBOTS

ROBOTS SERVE players AT VICTOR DENMARK OPEN

Robots will serve the world’s top players at Victor Denmark Open. The world’s most renowned cobot arm will deliver the shuttlecock to the players during the semifinals and finals. Meanwhile, a self-driving mobile robot will carry their bags for them.

These robots are some of the world’s most recognized cobots and mobile industrial robots that work alongside humans in daily life, assisting with repetitive and strenuous tasks. For instance, these robots transport blood samples in hospitals, weld, screw, and paint.

Guests will also meet and interact with the robots. Firstly, they will be welcomed by a talking service robot and, receive programs from a self-driving mobile robot.

The robots are also activated in the players’ lounge, where they will serve cold beverages to the players as well as to the VIP visitors.

Odense is internationally recognized as one of the world’s leading robotics cities, and this is evident at this year’s Victor Denmark Open. The companies exhibiting their robots at Victor Denmark Open are all part of the thriving robotics cluster in Odense. In Odense, there are more than 160 robotics companies, with over 3,700 employees engaged in the industry in city alone. This is quite impressive considering Odense’s size and population.

The city of odense

Odense – WHERE Fairytales MEET INTELLIGENCE

Odense located on the island of Funen is renowned as the birthplace of the famous fairytale writer Hans Christian Andersen, author of tales like “The Little Mermaid,” “The Princess and the Pea,” “The Nightingale,” and “The Ugly Duckling.” While this is part of Odense’s heritage, today, the city is known as Denmark’s robotics capital, hosting several robotic companies such as Universal Robots and Mobile Industrial Robots (MiR).

In Odense, the aim is to provide children with technology and robotics skills enabling them to develop abilities they can carry forward throughout their lives. This is essential because technology has become an integral part of their daily lives and the job market.

In Odense, children begin learning and playing with robot technology from their very first experience in public daycare. They learn how to program robots in kindergartens, and as they progress through the educational system, there is a natural progression in their education.
